Current Positions:

We are currently looking for a full-time tax accountant, senior auditor, and an entry-level auditor to join our dynamic team. 

TAX ACCOUNTANT: $17-$28/ hour

The ideal candidate must have :

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, including a CPA certificate or enough credits to meet the education requirements to sit for the CPA exam in Colorado
  • Experience in individual, corporate, partnership and trust taxation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to stay abreast of ever-changing landscape of tax law
  • Be able to work extended hours during busy season 

SENIOR AUDITOR: $21-$33/ hour

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with a strong ability to learn, adapt and function as a strong team player in our audit practice.  This individual should have experience with government and non-profit entities and should be able to lead a small group of auditors from planning through completions of an audit. 

Our audit practice focuses on non-profit and government audits including counties, municipalities, school districts, metropolitan districts and various other special districts.    In addition to audit services, we also offer consulting services to businesses, governments and non-profit organizations.

Major Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform audits in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and generally accepted government auditing standards
  • Communicate effectively with managers, principals, staff and clients
  • Train, coach, and lead entry level staff
  • Demonstrate positive contributions to our firm’s recruitment, education, development, and retention efforts
  • Audit complex audit areas/transactions
  • Prepare financial statements and related reports
  • Research, analyze and report on account and audit related issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Strict adherence to professional ethics
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in public accounting
  • Experience in governmental and/or not for profit accounting and/or auditing
  • Commitment to exceptional client service and creative problem solving ability with a consultancy mindset
  • Ability to travel 6-8 weeks per year
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • High initiative and energy
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong focus on quality and service

ENTRY-LEVEL AUDITOR: $17-$28/ hour

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply an entry-level understanding of generally accepted accounting principles to client account balances being tested
  • Apply and entry-level understanding of generally accepted auditing standards to be a contributing member of the audit team and to carry out assigned duties at the highest professional and ethical standard
  • Communicate and work effectively with a team to deliver an effective and efficient audit
  • Direct written and oral communication with clients
  • Participate in audits of clients in various locations throughout Colorado

Requirements and qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting with the qualifications to take the CPA exam
  • Strict adherence to professional ethics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • The willingness and ability to work with technology and learn new programs and systems in an evolving field
  • Entry-level ability to analyze account balances and a willingness to grow analytical skills
  • The ability to travel 10-12 weeks per year
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A growth mindset with a willingness to learn and a desire to contribute to your personal success and that of the firm
  • High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
