Current Positions:

TAX ACCOUNTANT

We are currently looking for a full-time tax accountant to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate must have :

  • 3+ years of experience in individual, corporate, partnership and trust taxation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A degree in accounting, including a CPA certificate or enough credits to meet the education requirements to sit for the CPA exam in Colorado
  • Be able to stay abreast of ever-changing landscape of tax law
  • Be able to work extended hours during busy season 

EXPERIENCED AUDITOR

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with a strong ability to learn, adapt and function as a strong team player in our audit practice. This individual should have experience with government and non-profit entities and should be able to lead a small group of auditors from planning through completions of an audit.

Our Practice

Our audit practice focuses on non-profit and government audits including counties, municipalities, school districts, metropolitan districts and various other special districts. We also do a few small for profit audits and some employee benefit plans. In addition to audit services, we also offer consulting services to businesses, governments and non-profit organizations.

Major Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform audits in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and generally accepted government auditing standards
  • Communicate effectively with managers, principals, staff and clients
  • Train, coach, and lead entry level staff
  • Demonstrate positive contributions to our firm’s recruitment, education, development, and retention efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Licensed CPA
  • Strict adherence to professional ethics
  • 3+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in public accounting
  • Experience in governmental and/or not for profit accounting
  • Experience planning and performing single audits in accordance with the requirements of the Uniform Guidance
  • Commitment to exceptional client service and creative problem solving ability with a consultancy mindset
  • Ability to travel 10 - 12 weeks per year
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Demonstrate ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload
  • High initiative and energy
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong focus on quality and service
