Principals
Richard D. Genova, CPA, is director of computer consulting and compilation and review services. Rick has been a CPA since 1973 and has lived in Grand Junction all his life. He has a BS degree from Colorado State University. Rick serves on the Board of Directors of Crimestoppers of Mesa County, Inc., and the Mesa County Business Education Foundation. He enjoys golf and other family activities.
Terry L. LaCount, CPA, PFS, is director of income tax services for the firm. Terry has been a CPA since 1975 and is a native of Grand Junction. He has a Masters Degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Colorado. He has been an accredited Financial Planning Specialist since 1985. Terry serves on the Board of Directors of St. Mary's Hospital Foundation and is past President of the Boards of Brownson Memorial Fund, Western Slope Chapter of Colorado Society of CPAs, and Grand Mesa Sertoma. Terry enjoys hiking, camping and recreational reading.
Kathy White, CPA, CVA, is vice president of our firm. She joined the firm in 1991 after practicing on her own for several years. She practices in the area of individual and corporate income tax preparation and planning and has been a CPA since 1992. Kathy also performs business valuations. She graduated with a BS in Accounting from Mesa State College. Kathy currently serves on the board of directors of the Small Business Incubator Center, and is a member of the Grand Junction Horizon Sunrise Rotary Club. Kathy enjoys reading and gardening.
Orville Petersen, CPA, joined the firm in 1991 after two years of experience with another firm. He practices in the area of individual and corporate income tax preparation and planning and has been a CPA since 1991. Orville graduated with a BS in accounting from Mesa State College. He has been appointed by Governor Bill Owens to the Children’s Basic Health Plan Policy Board for a term expiring June 2001. Orville is a member of the Kiwanis Club, president of the Western Slope Chapter of the Colorado Society of CPA's and enjoys many outdoor activities.
Retired Principal
Jerald F. Chadwick retired in Fall 2001. Jerry has been a CPA since 1961 and has lived in Grand Junction since 1960. He holds a Masters of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University and has had previous experience in private industry.
Manager
Wayne Keeler, CPA, joined the firm in 2000. He practices in the area of individual and corporate income tax preparation and has been a CPA since 2002. Wayne graduated with a BS in accounting from Mesa State College and enjoys many sports and outdoor activities.
Seniors
Kathy Miller, CPA, joined the firm in 1995 after several years of experience in industry and public accounting experience with another firm. She practices in the area of individual and corporate income tax preparation and planning and has been a CPA since 1994. She received her BS in accounting from Mesa State College. Kathy is involved with her church and enjoys camping, hunting, reading and gardening.
Jessica Miracle, a native of Grand Junction, joined CSD in 2003. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in business administration/accounting. Jessica is an active member of both the Grand Valley Young Professionals and Kiwanis. In her free time, she enjoys instructing at a local dance studio and ballroom dancing with her husband.
Professional Staff
John Grisier, recently graduated Mesa State College, with a BS in accounting. In his free time he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two dogs.
