Principal
T. Michael Nelson, CPA, is director of audit services. Mike has been a CPA since 1982. He has lived in Grand Junction since 1979 and has a BS degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
Manager
Lisa Hemann, CPA, received her BS degree in Accounting from Mesa State in 2003. She is native of Rifle, Colorado and has lived in Grand Junction since 2000. Lisa enjoys spending time with her daughter, gardening, reading and golf.
Senior Staff
Cara Golden, CPA, graduated summa cum laude from Mesa State College with a bachelor's of science degree in public accounting and a master's degree in business administration. She joined CSD in January 2007. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her dog, golf, racquetball, and skiing.
Professional Staff
Kimberly Heflin, CPA, graduated from Mesa State College with a BS in Public Accounting and a Minor in Mass Communications in May 2009. She joined CSD in May 2009. Kimberly is a native of Grand Junction, and she enjoys photography, mountain biking, snowboarding, and running.
John Omohundro, CPA, graduated from Mesa State College with a dual-concentration BS in Public Accounting and Accounting Information Technology in May, 2009. John prepared taxes for a year before joining CSD’s audit staff in July 2009. John is a Colorado native and enjoys numerous outdoor sports, camping, and fishing, and is an avid photographer.
Brian Hollingsworth graduated from the University of Colorado in May 2010 with an MS degree in Accounting and a BS degree in Business Administration. He was born in Grand Junction and has lived in Durango and Boulder, making him a true Colorado native. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is looking forward to taking advantage of all the opportunities Grand Junction has to offer.
